Bluewater Bible College &
Institute is located in Fortuna, on the west end
of the island of St. Thomas. The school gets its
name from the blue waters of the Caribbean Ocean
that are stunningly visible from its mountainside
location. St. Thomas is the capital of the United
States Virgin Islands – a territory that
also includes the islands of St. Croix and St.
John. These islands were originally known as the
Danish West Indies. St. Thomas has an estimated
population of 53,000 people, and is 32 sq. miles
in size. The local Cyril E. King Airport services
the major American air-carriers, as well as the
LIAT air service, making access to the island
convenient for both American and West Indian travelers.
The main campus for the University of the Virgin
Islands is also located on St. Thomas.
